    Habanero Chili Peppers (Orange)

    Origin: Spain

Hot heads will love habanero chili peppers. But habaneros are more than just spicy. What really sets them apart is their floral, citrusy flavour, making them highly prized in fruitier hot sauces.

These peppers have a gorgeous texture. The flesh is delicate, crisp and crunchy, and the inner seeds are soft and easy to chew. Habaneros may be famously hot, but did you know that some are sweet?

The flavour of our Habaneros are unlike any other hot pepper. It is fruity, floral, sweet, crunchy, and bursting with pungency. The flavour is so unique.

This orange chili pepper is zesty with notes of sweet melon mixed with tropical and floral essences.

Orange habanero chili peppers have a tropical, fruity flavour that make these peppers very popular among chefs, both amateur and professional. And underneath the sweetness, there’s a subtle smokiness as well. There’s a lot to love in the flavour, and it pairs well with many fruits. Tropical fruits like pineapple and mango are obvious good pairings, but apple and orange work equally as well. Because of its flavour, the habanero often stars as the primary heat source for fruit-based hot sauces. The sugar content in the mango mellows the searing heat in the habaneros.

When eaten alone, the burn can be described as forward and aggressive that fades quickly. Heat when cooked into dishes isn’t quite as hostile.

Habaneros are a staple in almost every spicy lovers diet including ours. The heat and flavour pairs well with almost every dish.
